Lavender fields in Provence, France

June - July is Lavender season in the south of Drôme Provençale and Provence - the fields are full of lavender of every shade of rich purple planted in rows. When you also see wild flowers - e.g. poppies - growing amongst the lavender this is usually a sign that no pesticides are being used, so the lavender crop is organic.
