Description

This is the burial chamber of Kush ruler Taharqa at Nuri, being slowly eaten up by the desert. Taharqa was one of the most powerful Kush rulers, & reigned from around from 690 BC to 664 BC. He was the son of Piye, the Nubian king of Napata who first conquered Egypt.
